Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

This game is one of my favorites, though I'm not a huge vampire fan, and I enjoy the large replay value. The storyline is fun and the puzzles are good. I like how many different ways you can play through this game and all of the things you can do for the experience. I love doing every single quest and The graphics are pretty good. I love White Wolf and I'm glad they made this game.

This game is a rare, underrated jewel. Hands down, the best vampire game to be made thus far. However, i would recommend downloading the Steam version--as there you can get it for 20 bucks and most bugs and glitches have been fixed, however there are still some present. If you have vista, you may have some trouble installing it but with a quick look at some unofficial forums and you'll be in business. I'm running it on 64 bit vista fine.

Pros: incredible atmosphere--this game captures the vampire feeling like no other, 7 distinct clans to choose from--and each clan provides a different game experience, unique exp system,--you don't gain exp by defeating enemies, but by completing quests--so no level grinding, A blast to play--literally tons of fun to be had here, great story and feeling, this game--when played right--can make you feel like a total undead badass.

Cons: combat takes a little getting used to, minor bugs/glitches, be careful how you spend your exp points or you may end up with a weak character,

Overall: Incredible and unique game experience that unfortunately didn't sell as well as it should have. p.s: get the steam version

Pros:
- Amazing atmosphere
- Can switch between third and 1st person mode
- Very good music
- Get to choose your own clan you want to be in
- What you do in the game effects your ending.
- High re-playability: multiple ways to complete quests, different dialogue options you can choose, each vampire clan has different abilities, etc...
- Official and unofficial patches to fix bugs
- Downloadable mods that changes and adds content
- Good graphics even for 2009
- No grinding. You get XP by completing quests rather than killing things

Cons:
- Not many equipable items. Most RPGS have a wide selection of items items: gloves, armor, rings, amulets, pants, etc... This game only has 4 sets of armor and weapons.
- No visual character customization when you create your character. You can only choose between male or female.
- No multiplayer

This game is completely awesome. Just like it's prequel "Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption". I may be biased because i love RPGs, but this is just the way a game should be. It has that GTA-style of gameplay. Walking around the city in 3rd person using "WASD" (or 1st if you like by pressing "z") and taking on different assignments. And after a while you'll realize that this is not only a great RPG, this is also a terrific 1st person shooter. That vampire-element just makes it so much cooler than other games, creating a great underground atmosphere. Highly recommended.*****

This game was awesome, definitely mature themed and I really enjoyed it. I did not have too many glitches with the software (running XP) and this deserves to be reprinted and put on the shelf again. The music soundtrack is awesome too, so good I bought one of the CDs.
