i went from playing golf and forgetting about videogames to playing videogames again i was a very good golfer but now i dont golf anymore because i play videogames all the time runescape was my main videogame then i was introduced to wow and was amazed by it even the leveling beat runescape but now i look back at runescape and think it is better for some people wow will blow the hell out of runescape but thats that. whether u go pvp or pve thats up to u in my opinion pvp is way cooler and much more macho whereas pve is all time consuming but can be fun for some people but u dont get to actually kill other players killing other players was always more fun for me. i played a mage leveled it to 70 with help because i got bored of leveling . world of warcraft is hands down one of the best rpgs of all time. it doesnt get any better than wow

This is an excellent game that my whole family is enjoying. I am only writing this review to warn others to get the right version. I made a huge mistake by getting the european version instead of the US version. I bought this game pack here on Amazon and my sons and I started playing. After we built up our characters a bit I purchased the Lich King expansion elsewhere. Well the Lich King expansion was the US version so it wasn't loading. After I called Blizzard, they told me I have two different versions and they aren't compatible. So, now Blizzard tells me that I can keep my characters and remain on the European game, which means I'll be playing with people in Europe but I won't be able to play with any friends from the US, or they can switch me to US, but we will lose all our progress and all have to start our characters over again. It is not very clear what version you are getting here. I would purchase this game at a store in person and make sure it doesn't say EU on the disc if you live in the US.
Otherwise, I love the game. I am a mom in my 40's with 2 boys -12 and 8 yrs old, and we are all having fun with this game.

I was really interested in this game when I heard about it. So I did some research and came across this Battle Chest, so I went for it. The game was amazing, the graphics where right on, and the gameplay is non-stop fun! It said that my game time expires in a month, but I didn't mind untill the day came. My mom and dad restricted me to only weekend game time so I was cut back a lot of gaming hours. But the weekends where action packed and epic. The downside on this is that it really takes a toll on your wallet, paying $15 a month isn't a piece of pie, so I don't recommend this for kids who don't have a hefty allowance or don't have a source of income. Thank goodness I get enough money a month, but it hurts to see your money slide away every month for a game that isn't so special. It is time consuming, so I suggest you save up and spend it all through summer vacation, no limits, no worries, except for that dude who is giving youa nasty beating!

Not only did it include the game(including Burning Crusade expansion), but it also included strategy guides for both games, character guide, two(2) 10 day free passes to give to friends, and I got the first 30 days of game play for free. Also, I got the super saver free shipping on my BattleChest. I play almost every day and enjoy every minute of it :).
