My sons and I are huge fans of the LOTR series and these RTS games are the most enjoyed and most played in my house....
Rating:  No pause - so it's Real-Time but there isn't much StrategyI have no idea why anyone who produces an RTS wouldn't provide a pause key enabling you to select units reliably and issue orders. Perhaps EA do, because they didn't. Or maybe they just forgot.
Rating:  not for vistause to play this game in my old Vaio pc with windows xp fun everytime BUT for windows vista the only think you can do its use it as cupholder nothing happens I already have tried all the ways for compatibility and nothing customers services...never answer to but for ea games has one less customer. Rating: Vista Users Beware ..........I have a Vista OS and have been able to play many RTS games under this system (sometimes with tweaks) but not this set of games. After trying many different things and calling tech support twice I had to give up. I could not get it to run under my Vista OS. I gave the game 4 stars for fun (which it is under XP) but only 1 overall because of the lack of support for a newer OS. When I asked tech support whether I was alone with my problem, they said "No". When asked whether they would ever work on getting it to run under Vista, I was told "that they did not know". Shame on EA for such shortsightedness. Rating:  Beware laptop users!I bought this game to play on my alienware laptop, which i thought could handle almost anything. it has no trouble with rome: total war, but for BFME2, it just is no fun. the game constantly loses track of the cursor so that the cursor icon freezes on the screen, making it almost impossible to do anything. EA was helpful in troubleshooting, but in the end they told me this game was not tested for laptops. so beware! |
