Product Reviews

Rating: 5 StarsFast Shipping

This game was delivered very fast and it was in perfect condition. My son loves this. It is his new favorite game.

Rating: 1 StarsGame is incorrectly titled

The game as advertised is actually the EXPANSION PACK, and not the actual game. I ordered the 'game' as advertised on Amazon, and had to send the Expansion Pack back for a refund.

Rating: 5 StarsSpore Galactic Adventures: Pros and Cons

This game well exceeded my expectations for a expansion pack. The graphics quality is amazing. I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2009 model and it works very well. Sure it takes a while to load, but when your done with that you hardly have to wait at all! I've only found one glitch. The game quits randomly. Just make sure to save now and then. The weapons are great and adventures are fun to make and play. So without farther a do, HAVE FUN!

Rating: 1 StarsAvoid!

I enjoyed playing the original Spore so much I jumped at the chance to get an expansion which could add more hours of game play. This expansion is terrible. Not only has my computer been getting regular blue screen errors since installing it, it has also messed up a bunch of my saved games and freezes up REGULARLY! Even if it didn't have a storm of tech issues and performed correctly, it is still not that entertaining content wise. The concept of beaming down to planets and playing through a glorified version of the creature stage sounds really fun but the actualization is pretty disappointing. Most missions last a grand total of 5 minutes and consist of running from one npc to another and suffering through some pretty boring dialogue. Granted this is essentially a kids game, that said I would still expect that for the price it would have something to offer that even remotely compared to the original. I don't know if this game was made by another developer or what, but comparing it to the original is a total farce. Not to mention sharing creature content with a bunch of strangers is all good and fine, but playing through a bunch of missions engineered by 10 yr olds is a whole different story. I haven't bought the cute/creepy creature creation expansion yet, nor will I at this point I don't think, but my recommendation is, if you absolutely must give EA more of your money on this franchise then try that because this expansion may very well have been the single greatest waste of my money on a video game. Period.

Rating: 5 StarsMac user loving this game

Was reticent to purchase a game with complaints from Mac users, but my son insisted on spending his own money to get this game. It installed on the first try and we've had no problems. The game has been in almost constant use since it arrived in the mail. It's fun going down to the planets for adventures.
