Product Reviews

Rating: 4 StarsDude I'm not racist...

I'll say it right off, Greg Giraldo's "Good Day To Cross A River" is one of my favorite comedy albums of all time. He's edgy, politically incorrect, and hilarious without pandering to the audience. That being said, there was a lot to live up to with this follow-up album. And it isn't a huge disappointment, but it's not fantastic. I think as time goes on, I'll appreciate it more. I know there is humor in this album I can't appreciate yet, because I'm 22 and haven't been married and don't have kids yet. So a lot of those types of things are lost on me. You can hear the bitterness in his voice though, when he says "I don't understand women...obviously" a few minutes after talking about going through his second divorce.

Unfortunately some of his jokes are re-used in this album, and don't seem as funny when re-told. This album is worth buying, however, as he is still, in my opinion, one of the funniest comedians around these days. His bits about texting, racism, the election, the steroid hearings in baseball, and birthdays are absolutely fantastic.

Rating: 5 StarsVERY VERY FUNNY

THIS WAS A GREAT SHOW OF MR GERALDO'S. PICKS UP WHERE " GOOD DAY TO CROSS A RIVER " LEFT OFF. NO NEW GROUND IS BROKEN....WHICH IS COOL TO ME. A LOT OF SOPHOMORE EFFORTS TRY TOO HARD AND END UP STINKING. NOT THIS ONE. I HOPE TO SEE HIM LIVE WERE HE EVER TO COME TO BALTIMORE OR DC. BRAVALINGUS.

Rating: 5 Starsgood and edgy

A friend of mine recommended this to me, so I tried it and was very impressed. If you like Reznor, Massive Attack, or Bif Naked - I think you'll like this. I had never heard of them before but I wouldn't be surprised if we heard alot more of them in the future.
